Your garden notes belong to you.

Root & Ruler is intentionally light on data collection. The interactive workbench works locally in your browser and does not require an account.

Controller and contact

Root & Ruler is independently operated by Laurel. Privacy questions or requests can be sent to lovlace77777@gmail.com.

Data saved in your browser

When you choose to save a bed plan, favorite a crop, check a seasonal task, or add a log entry, the information is stored in browser local storage on that device. It is not transmitted to a Root & Ruler server by this static site. Anyone with access to the same browser profile may be able to see it.

You can remove individual entries in the relevant feature, clear site data in your browser, or use the control below.

Privacy & local data choices

Root & Ruler currently stores only the garden data you deliberately save in this browser. Clearing it cannot be undone.

Hosting and delivery data

This website is hosted and delivered through Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, traffic-routing data, requested URLs, system-configuration data, and security events to deliver, cache, and protect the service. Root & Ruler does not currently keep a separate server-side visitor log or enable an analytics script. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for its processing and transfer information.

Contact correspondence

If you email Root & Ruler, Laurel receives your email address, message, and any information you choose to include. It is used to answer the inquiry, investigate corrections, or manage a proposed commercial relationship, and is not sold. Correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes or applicable legal obligations.

Analytics and advertising

This deployment does not activate analytics or advertising scripts, and disabled ad components render no public boxes. Before either category is enabled, this policy must be updated with the providers, purposes, data categories, legal bases, retention, opt-out routes, and links to provider disclosures.

If Google advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and—only where validly permitted—personalization. The deployed policy must link to how Google uses data from partner sites.

Consent and regional choices

For advertising in the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the operator must install a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the current IAB Transparency and Consent Framework before serving eligible ads. A home-made banner is not represented as a substitute. Applicable U.S. state opt-outs and Global Privacy Control handling must also be configured where required.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port personal data, withdraw consent, and complain to a regulator. Because workbench data stays only in your browser, Root & Ruler cannot retrieve it from a server; use the local controls above. Contact Laurel about correspondence, hosting, or future provider data.

Children and retention

The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. Locally saved workbench data remains until you remove it or the browser clears it. Retention for any future service must be documented before that service is activated.
