Data saved in your browser

When you choose to save a bed plan, favorite a crop, check a seasonal task, or add a log entry, the information is stored in browser local storage on that device. It is not transmitted to a Root & Ruler server by this static site. Anyone with access to the same browser profile may be able to see it.

You can remove individual entries in the relevant feature, clear site data in your browser, or use the control below.

Hosting and delivery data

This website is hosted and delivered through Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, traffic-routing data, requested URLs, system-configuration data, and security events to deliver, cache, and protect the service. Root & Ruler does not operate its own account system or application server log. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for its processing and transfer information.

Contact correspondence

If you email Root & Ruler, Laurel receives your email address, message, and any information you choose to include. It is used to answer the inquiry, investigate corrections, or manage a proposed commercial relationship, and is not sold. Correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes or applicable legal obligations.

Cookie-free audience measurement

Root & Ruler uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which public pages are useful and whether they load well. Cloudflare describes this service as a privacy-first real-user measurement tool that does not use client-side cookies or local storage to collect its metrics and does not fingerprint users. The operator sees aggregate page views, Cloudflare-defined visits, page paths, referring hosts, broad country or region and device, browser, and operating-system categories, plus page-performance and Core Web Vitals signals. A “visit” is Cloudflare's metric and is not presented as a unique person.

The analytics beacon does not read or transmit saved bed plans, crop favorites, checklist choices, garden-log text, calculator inputs, custom crop labels, or email correspondence. Browser extensions, content blockers, network failures, and similar conditions can prevent measurement, so the dashboard is directional rather than a complete census. Advertising remains disabled

No advertising network or advertising cookie is active, and disabled ad components render nothing to visitors. Before advertising is enabled, this policy and the cookie policy must identify the provider, purposes, data categories, legal basis, retention, opt-out routes, and regional consent behavior. If Google advertising is later enabled, the deployed policy must link to how Google uses data from partner sites.

Consent and privacy choices

Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use analytics cookies on this site. You can still limit the beacon with browser or content-blocking controls. For any future advertising in the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the operator must install a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the then-current IAB Transparency and Consent Framework before serving eligible ads. Applicable U.S. state opt-outs and Global Privacy Control handling must also be configured where required.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port personal data, withdraw consent, and complain to a regulator. Because workbench data stays only in your browser, Root & Ruler cannot retrieve it from a server; use the local controls above. Contact Laurel about correspondence, hosting, or future provider data.

Children and retention

The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. Locally saved workbench data remains until you remove it or the browser clears it. Cloudflare's current Web Analytics documentation states that measurement data is retained for six months; correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the stated purpose or legal obligations. Retention for any future advertising service must be documented before activation.
